At Hibiscus Print Shop, our journey began not just as a business venture but as a cultural crusade. Frustrated by the underrepresentation of Bahamian ownership in retail markets heavily frequented by tourists, we saw a need for a change… a change where Bahamians could take ownership of how their culture was represented and marketed.
The inception of Hibiscus Print Shop was fueled by a desire to reclaim Bahamian iconography from the clutches of foreign markets that often appropriated our symbols without understanding their significance. We wanted to celebrate our culture authentically and share the true essence of what makes The Bahamas uniquely captivating.
Born and raised in The Bahamas, our founders brought local and national sensibilities to the table, imbuing our products with genuine Bahamian spirit. This connection to home grounds every item we create, from vibrant t-shirts to cultural souvenirs.
